Verification for the event is now open. Here’s where to start.

NEW to CAP? Please watch this video for complete instructions on setting up new accounts and profiles.
Existing CAP accounts:

    • Go to My Settings. Under About Me add a description. This helps us know if you coordinate VC. If you do, then we “promote” you so that you have the power to manage My People & My Equipment. We are doing this as fast as we can after you update your account.
    • Go to My Settings, Personal. Check off the areas you’re involved in so others can find you when looking for partners.
    • Go to My Settings, Picture & Websites. Update these areas too, if you wish.
    • Go to Search to find friends & click Add Friend and click Home to accept friend invitations from others (if applicable).
    • Go to My Projects and check off big projects you’ve participated in already. (This is how you get stars & badges next to your name).
    • View your profile under My Profile.
  • Set up Relationship Tree for TWICE matching projects (i.e. Read Around the Planet, Michigan Week Exchange). This step facilitates tying equipment to participants.
    • Click Admin, My People. (You will only see this after we’ve promoted you to have this level of access. Make sure you update your paragraph under My Settings so we know that you need to be promoted. If we still don’t get to it after 48 hours, please email sue@twice.cc and let her know that you need admin access.)
    • Search the cities you support to find your people in the system (or search by name). You should only add the people who are DIRECTLY under you.
    • For example, you might have a tree structure like this:
      1. Me
        • My District Coordinators
          • My Building Coordinators
            • Teachers
    • The tree structure should match the way support works in your area. It might be flat, with everyone under you, or in a tree structure as shown.
    • For instance, you might add district coordinators under you; they add the building coordinators under them, and finally the building coordinators add teachers under them.
    • Note: At this point, you should set up relationships for videoconference coordinators in a way that reflects the support structure in your area. When TWICE event registration opens, you can decide if each participant will have accounts or whether you will register for them.
  • Adding your equipment
    • Each endpoint and MCU that will be used for a TWICE matching event needs to be entered and verified. Verification does not eliminate the need for a test call to the partner school.
      1. Click Admin, My Equipment
      2. If possible, add MCU first (if applicable). The matching system will use the number of unique concurrent connections to make sure connections scheduled don’t exceed the ability of the MCU
      3. Add Endpoints. Make sure you fill in all the fields marked with a star. Use a naming convention that works for your area, such as St. Joseph - Lincoln El Mobile
      4. After adding equipment, you can attach an MCU to an endpoint, attach additional techs to the endpoint, and attach end users (i.e. teachers)
    • For additional techs, you can add those who already have an account in the system, or list name, phone & email for techs who won’t ever login to see partner connection details after the match.
    • If your teachers are in the system, attach them. When registration starts, if teachers are registering themselves, they’ll need to be connected to verified equipment. But you’ll also be able to register for teachers without them needing to login in.
  • WAIT to be contacted for verification
    • A Verification coordinator will contact you for the test call. Please give the coordinator at least a week to contact you. Please try to enter all the equipment you’re responsible for, so that it can all be checked off in your test call with the Verification coordinator.

If desired, you can also watch this video explaining how to add endpoints.
