A 4th grade Social Studies Project

(for the new 4th grade curriculum - 5th grade is welcome too)

TWICE offers this project for the 4th (or 5th) grade social studies curriculum, focusing on the Constitution, particularly the preamble. Students will study the six phrases of the preamble and present non-linguistic representations (i.e. drawings or skits) to each other to explain the parts of the preamble. This project is open to TWICE members only.

TWICE provides a matching service for the point-to-point videoconferences. Matching is done based on your registration information. Schools are responsible for making the connections work successfully.

Who? This project is open to 4th and 5th grade classes in public and private schools. However, you must have access to IP (H.323) or ISDN (H.320) codec equipment to participate.

Cost: Free. If you use ISDN to connect, the connection charges are your responsibility.

Teacher Preparation Materials. Please use these materials to prepare for the videoconference.
